The only change for this coaching staff is Wes Goodwin being fired as DC and Penn State’s Tom Allen being brought in. Allen had a top four defense in both SP+ and FEI last season but his defenses were on a three year slide at Indiana and cratered at no. 88 in FEI in his final season in 2023. Penn State was obviously enormously talented, but so is Clemson this year.
