What an absurdly loaded season nationally defensively.

You’re familiar with the concept of an All-American team, right?

It’s the last season of Mountain West football in its current form, and as in seemingly all previous seasons, it’s Boise State’s to lose.

The Buckeyes are attempting to go back-to-back in 2024 despite massive losses to the NFL Draft.

The Lion of State College, James Franklin, is poised to have his best team yet as Penn State’s head coach. Is it enough to get the Nittany Lions to a championship?

Oregon nearly went bell-to-bell to finish as 2024’s best team before a blowout loss to Ohio State ended their season. Can they get back to the mountaintop this fall?

Michigan’s schedule gives them every opportunity to earn a berth back into the playoff — if only the offense can improve enough to get them there.

Talent is harder than ever for Northwestern to come by and, while I like their play on the line of scrimmage, there’s a hard ceiling on this team. It remains to be seen if that ceiling is barely making a bowl game or barely missing one.

Minnesota has one of the bleakest offensive outlooks in America and it is a complete albatross that will waste a solid defense.

UCLA has a couple of headline names on this roster, led by Nico Iamaleava, but I don’t think it has a real football team that can win in the Big Ten. The trench play is too concerning.

Mike Locksley is firmly in the danger zone this fall and I don’t like his odds of escaping with his job.

Man, there is so little to like about Purdue this fall. This sucks and I’m sorry you all have to read about it.

Let’s kick off the AAC previews with a massive deep dive into Army, Charlotte, East Carolina, FAU, Memphis, Navy and North Texas.

Notre Dame has questions to answer, but an easy schedule makes the Irish shoe-ins for a playoff spot. Can they make noise when they get there?

Alabama is far from a complete team and I believe they have a liability at QB, but this is the league’s most complete roster in 2025.

I love the Texas defense, but there are real questions about the offensive side of the ball, even with Arch Manning at the helm.
