At 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, it will have been exactly one year since I lost my mom. By that point, it is my sincere hope that the Buckeyes are up four scores on Wisconsin. That is what she would have wanted.
To be clear, my mom didn’t care about football even a little bit. But she sure cared about me. And knowing that an Ohio State win could put a smile on my face made her the biggest Buckeye fan on the planet.
