J.J. McCarthy has, beyond a reasonable doubt, earned his spot as the Michigan starting quarterback this season. Against a painful-to-watch Hawaii team, he completed 11 of 12 passes for 229 yards and three touchdowns. To borrow a phrase from Jim Harbaugh, McCarthy was electric once again.
