After marinating on this whole “backing into the playoffs” thing for a bit, I have formally decided that I want The Local Team in the field.
The way I see it, a playoff appearance can only lead to good things. Either Ryan Day gets pantsed on the big stage yet again and adds another nail to the coffin he’s swiftly constructing around himself, or the team actually lives up to its potential and competes for a national title.
