When Ryan Day took the Ohio State job, he made it pretty clear that he didn’t intend to call plays himself forever and would eventually love to hand things over to an offensive coordinator. But after four years, I wasn’t sure I was buying that any change would ever come.
But then we got this little nugget poured on us from Kirk Herbstreit, which ironically came immediately after what might be the single best game Ryan Day has ever called as a playcaller.
